Stuart Goodreid came to Perth in 2005 to work on a number of large high-profile projects in his field and has not left. A couple of years later, Mr Goodreid and business partner Craig Wood established Fusion Applications, an Australian-owned Oracle consulting services company. The company, which now has 35 staff, specialises in providing Oracle enterprise resource planning business software and technology to other businesses. Mr Goodreid has worked with the software since 1998, applying it to a range of industries and clients. He is a regular presenter at Oracle user groups in Australia, presenting his own white papers to the local and national Oracle user group community. The business also supports the IT industry by employing local graduates and training them in Oracle and related technologies, allowing them to become Oracle specialists. Before he arrived in Australia, Mr Goodreid volunteered on the committee of the National Rugby Union of the Cayman Islands for two years. He is still a keen rugby fan, being a member of the Western Force and an active playing member of Cottesloe Rugby Union Football Club.
