Justin Scanlan has over 20 years of management and digital consulting experience across a range of market sectors including energy, utilities, mining, government, health and financial services. He specialises in delivering strategy, technology and organisational transformation.
Originally from Ireland, Mr Scanlan and his family relocated to Australia in 2007. He has previously worked for BHP, JP Morgan, Wesfarmers, Synergy, Western Power, South32, WA Health, WA Education Department, Department of Treasury WA, and the Department of Communities.
Mr Scanlan joined PwC in Western Australia after working with PwC in Ireland, with the mandate to grow the consulting side of the business rapidly. During his 16-year tenure, he also established PwC’s technology consulting business in WA and was made partner of its consulting practice at age 35, one of the youngest partners in Australia. He has delivered numerous digital transformation programs at a number of government agencies, healthcare providers and energy and resources clients in WA, nationally and globally. Mr Scanlan left PwC in March 2021 to become a Perth consulting partner at Deloitte and will lead its consulting public sector healthcare practice.
A self-confessed sports fanatic, Mr Scanlan played rugby in Ireland at a senior level for 20 years. He has been the director of Western Force's Future Force Board since February 2017.
Mr Scanlan supports a number of not-for-profit organisations such as Putt for Dough and Perth to Surf, winning the lord mayor’s prize for financial contribution and support. He is also a Business News 40under40 winner in 2014.
