
Edith Cowan University (ECU) s one of Australia’s youngest universities, named after prominent Western Australian Edith Cowan, who was the first woman elected to a parliament in Australia. Awarded university status in 1991, is focused on delivery of quality teaching, student support and the overall education experience of their students.
ECU provides courses in a variety of disciplines across eight teaching schools. ECU hosts the renowned Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and a Cyber Security Centre of Excellence. The university also has state-of-the-art health sciences, nursing and engineering programs. ECU also takes great pride in its teacher education studies, and offers contemporary courses in business, law, the creative arts and social sciences.
The university has campuses at Joondalup and in the Perth CBD and also serves Western Australia's South West region from a campus in Bunbury, 200km south of Perth.
