Rebecca Loftus began her career in the education sector as a high school science teacher and quickly became interested in curriculum and assessment: design and integration. She founded the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) Education WA community in 2015, and worked as an education consultant and project manager in that area.
In 2017, Ms Loftus began designing and building a systems change initiative, EDfutures, in Western Australia. This education ecosystem provides a platform to connect people and organisations who want to challenge the status quo in education. In 2019, she co-founded The Ecosystem Lab which uses "ecosystem thinking” to grow the innovation capacity of organisations and communities.
