Intan Oldakowska is a biomedical engineer and entrepreneur focused on developing medical devices.
She is a research associate at Curtin University developing a novel expandable orthopaedic screw for use in orthopaedic surgery to improve patient outcome. Her project has resulted in a spinout company called REX Ortho where she is the chief scientific officer. Ms Oldakowska is also a co-founder and chief executive of Cervical ChinUp which distributes a novel neck support device to help manage neck pain, and the co-founder & chief executive of Earflo which is a non-invasive device that drains the middle ear fluid in children with chronic ear infections.
As well as working in her medtech startups, Ms Oldakowska is a co-director of Perth Biodesign and Biodesign Australia where she teaches the next generation of medtech entrepreneurs on how to innovate in this space.
