Norilsk Nickel

The Norilsk Nickel Group is the world's largest nickel and palladium producer and one of the largest producers of platinum and copper. The company originated in Russia more than 70 years ago and now has operations in Russia, Finland, Botswana, South Africa and Australia.

Norilsk Nickel International and its subsidiary Norilsk Nickel Australia were formed in 2007, following the acquisition of OMG Nickel and LionOre Mining. Norilsk Nickel Australia has three operations located in prime nickel producing regions in south-central Western Australia - Lake Johnston, Black Swan and the Cawse laterite operation.
