Hannah Beazley is a WA Labor Party member, and daughter of former Labor leader Kim Beazley.
She was the Labor Party candidate for Riverton in 2013 and for Swan in 2017. Ms Beazley became the Labor Party Member for the Western Australia Legislative Assembly of Victoria Park in 2021, following the retirement of former Treasurer Ben Wyatt.
In the 2022 cabinet reshuffle, she became a parliamentary secretary to Stephen Dawson (Minister for Emergency Services; Innovation and the Digital Economy; Medical Research; Volunteering) under the McGowan government. Following the resignation of Mr McGowan in June 2023, Ms Beazley became the Parliamentary Secretary to John Carey (Minister for Planning, Lands, Housing and Homelessness) under the Cook government. In December 2023, Ms Beazley became the Minister for Local Government, Youth, and Minister Assisting the Minister for Training & Workforce Development.
Ms Beazley is a communications professional with over 20 years of experience in media relations, community and stakeholder engagement, marketing, social policy, small business operations and politics. She held senior communications and governance roles in the education sector for almost a decade, and was the speech writer and senior policy advisor to two Western Australian Premiers. Ms Beazley also owns and runs her own small businesses.
