Founded in 2018, Vulcan Energy Resources (formerly Koppar Resources) has a Zero Carbon Lithium™ Project which aims to decarbonise lithium production by developing the world’s first net-zero carbon, zero-fossil fuels lithium business with the co-production of renewable geothermal energy on a mass scale.

The company changed its name from Koppar Resources to Vulcan Energy Resources following its acquisition in 2019.
