Ngarda began in 2001 as a small mining contractor in the Pilbara region of WA. It grew into a multi-disciplined service provider in the mining, civil and infrastructure sectors, with projects across Australia. It was jointly owned by CIMIC Group subsidiary CPB Contractors and two indigenous partners. The business ceased operating in 2017.
