MZI Resources engages in the exploration, development, and production of mineral sands in Australia. The company develops mineral sands to feed zircon and titanium minerals in the Chinese market. It focuses on zircon that is primarily used to produce ceramic and porcelain products; and leucoxene, which is a titanium mineral used in the production of titanium pigment for paint and plastics, as well as in the manufacture of welding electrodes and titanium metal.
The company was formerly known as Matilda Zircon Limited and changed its name to MZI Resources Ltd in August 2012.
MZI entered administration in April 2019 and was delisted from the ASX in May 2020 following the execution of a DOCA.
