Attila Resources shares have rocketed on the Australian Securities Exchange, after the Perth-based miner announced it had signed an option to acquire a 70 per cent interest in Alabama-based Kodiak Mining.

Subiaco-based miner Attila Resources says it is fully funded to move towards a final development decision on its Kodiak coking coal project following the completion of a $7 million capital raising.

Attila Resources has appointed Russell Clark as non-executive chairman.Mr Clark has been managing director of Wolf Minerals since October 2013, and prior to that was chief executive of Azimuth Resources, which was bought by Troy Resources in August.

New Century Resources has enjoyed fruitful gains on its first day of trading on the ASX after completing a reverse takeover of Perth-based Attila Resources.

Perth-based New Century Resources has locked in a $58 million debt facility agreement with investment firm Sprott, to fund the restarting of operations at its Century zinc mine in Queensland.

New Century Resources has raised $52.9 million to restart the Century Zinc Mine in Queensland, initially by reprocessing the tailings.

Eduardo Valenzuela has been appointed technical director of Consolidated Zinc. Mr  Valenzuela is a mining engineer with extensive industry experience in Australia, Latin America, USA, Asia, and the Middle East.

S2 Resources advises that completion has occurred under the Heads of Agreement that was announced on 14th February 2018.

Nick Cernotta has been appointed non-executive director of New Century Resources. Mr  Cernotta is an experienced mining executive and former director of operations at Fortescue Metals Group.
