Aidan Platel will be stepping down as managing director and chief executive of Auroch Minerals at the end of the year. He joined as CEO in June 2018 and was appointed managing director in September 2019. The company also advises that Silfia Morton will replace Cameron O'Brien as joint company secretary from December.
Angus Thomson has resigned as chief executive of Forrestania Resources, having held the role since February this year. Current non-executive chair John Hannaford will become interim CEO until a replacement is appointed.
Kerry Gleeson, current non-executive director of New Century Resources, will take over from Rob McDonald as non-executive chair at the upcoming AGM on 9 November when Mr McDonald will resign from the board. Ms Gleeson joined the board in November 2020, and had a 30-year career as a senior executive and lawyer in the United Kingdom & Australia. She also has significant experience in international governance, strategic M&A and complex corporate finance transactions, and in risk & crisis management.
Podium Minerals has made some changes to its board structure as it transitions from an exploration to development phase. At the upcoming AGM on 21 November, current non-executive deputy chair Rodney Baxter will take over from Clayton Dodd as non-executive chair, with Mr Dodd remaining on the board as a non-executive director. The company has also appointed experienced mining executive Linton Putland as an independent non-executive director, replacing founding director Roberto Castro who has resigned. Mr Putland has over 35 years of experience in the mining industry throughout Australia and internationally. He has held operational and technical leadership positions at both open cut and underground mines, and was a private equity manager providing development and expansion capital to global projects and companies.
