Using hyperspectral imagery, Askari Metals has identified numerous rare earth element targets at the company’s Red Peak pegmatite project located on the border of WA’s Gascoyne region. The news builds upon lithium-focused sampling completed by the company in January that revealed several areas highly anomalous in a suite of rare earths including lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium and europium.

ASX-listed explorer Infinity Mining’s Craig’s Rest project in the Leonora district of Western Australia is already looking the goods with a recent rock chip sampling program delivering grades as high as 37.64 grams per tonne gold. The samples were bagged in proximity to several historical mines and returned six specimens running over 1 g/t gold.

Perth-based battery technology company and recycler Lithium Australia has appointed an experienced executive and recycling expert as its Chief Executive Officer. Simon Linge has 25 years’ senior management experience within the Bluescope Group and BHP, and most recently was an executive at Pact Group Holdings. He takes the helm of Lithium Australia in coming weeks and will be based in Melbourne.

After further field work, mineral explorer St George Mining believes it has significantly expanded the lithium potential of its Mt Alexander nickel — and now lithium — project 95km west of Leonora in WA. Since first announcing it was on the lithium trail in early September, the explorer has identified an increasing number of pegmatite outcrops in its field mapping efforts across a 15km zone of pegmatite dykes at its project.

Radiopharm Theranostics has linked with US-based nuclear technology specialist SHINE Technologies to ensure supply of a key component of the Melbourne-based company’s radiopharmaceutical products pipeline. SHINE has developed a proprietary isotope production process and the two companies have entered into a clinical supply agreement for the supply of Lu-177 – an important cancer-fighting isotope used in multiple programs across Radiopharm’s portfolio.

Estrella Resources has declared a maiden inferred mineral resource estimate of 0.86 million tonnes at 0.66 per cent nickel and 0.42 per cent copper at its T5 deposit in the Goldfields region of WA. The company says the latest estimate underpins an updated JORC exploration target of five to seven million tonnes at 0.7 to 1.5 per cent nickel and 0.3 to 0.5 per cent copper for the basal contact at its wholly owned Carr Boyd nickel project 80km north-east of Kalgoorlie.

Perth-based explorer White Cliff Minerals is now a step closer to a maiden drill program at its Hines Hill rare earths project after securing a land access agreement to launch the probe about 200km east of Perth in WA. The explorer now plans to submit a program of work to the Department of Mines ahead of a projected 100-hole, 3000m AC drilling campaign.

Tambourah Metals has received a boost to the lithium prospectivity of its Russian Jack project in the Pilbara after the Geological Survey of WA confirmed the presence of abundant pegmatite veins and dykes. The company is currently compiling data on the project that includes the GSWA WAROX dataset that highlights four areas of significant pegmatite outcrops across two tenements at the site, whilst a rock chip sampling program is also beefing up its gold numbers.

First pass drilling by ABx Group between its two rare earths discoveries in Tasmania has confirmed a contiguous 6.5km mineralised channel with the results to feed into a maiden resource estimate. Results from the thick and shallow zone include 21m at 2511 parts per million total rare earth oxides from 2m downhole and another 8m hit grading 1556ppm total rare earth oxides also from 2m.
