Nowhereman Brewing Co is set to be acquired by Fremantle-based hospitality group Triple-1-Three in a deal that will re-brand the West Leederville venue as Otherside Brewing Co.
Nowhereman will join Triple-1-Three’s growing list of venues, which currently includes Otherside Brewhouse in Myaree, and Fremantle’s Freo.Social and Mojo’s.
The company is also slated to open a fourth venue called Otherside Brew Lounge at Perth Airport’s Terminal 2 in November.
As part of the acquisition of Nowhereman, which is subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals, the brewpub will be re-branded as Otherside Brewing Co.
The deal is anticipated to be finalised by September 30.
Triple-1-Three managing director James Legge said the acquisition was part of the hospitality company’s expansion plans.
“Given our venue network lies mostly south of the Swan River, it gives us a great opportunity to further expose our brand, our venue experiences, and of course our beers with metro and northern Perth suburb residents,” Mr Legge said.

Mr Legge said Triple-1-Three would continue expanding its reach through collaboration with existing venues, industry players and partners.
“Our mission is to bring people together for social and cultural experiences,” Mr Legge said.
“It’s what we’re about as a business; to celebrate live music, arts and culture, specifically in WA.
“By expanding our network and increasing our connection with new audiences, both with Nowhereman and our growing set of partners, we’re able to do so much more in that space and get creative with our Tapped by Otherside program.”
Nowhereman founder Reece Wheadon said the brewing company was excited to join Triple-1-Three.
“We’re so incredibly proud of what we’ve built, the community we’ve connected with and stories we’ve made,” Mr Wheadon said.
“This coming together of two value-aligned businesses is going to help those connections, create more stories and take our beloved West Leederville brewpub to heights we couldn’t on our own.”
Mr Legge confirmed Mr Wheadon would work across the combined businesses, while Nowhereman Brewing general manager Pia Poynton would be appointed as Otherside Brewing head of sales.
“We are excited to have Reece, Pia and the Nowhereman team join us,” Mr Legge said.
