Torian develops growing gold system in lucrative Leonora

Torian continues to uncover a swathe of decent gold grades across its Leonora-based Mt Stirling project revealing what it says looks to be one large connected ore system just eight kilometres along strike of Red 5’s four-million-ounce King Of The Hills gold mine. Notable intercepts include 10 metres grading at 2.05 grams per tonne gold from 34 metres at its Mt Stirling and Viserion prospects and 1m grading 6.03 g/t gold from 3m at its Eastern Zone prospect.

Results have flowed in across the Mt Stirling, Mt Stirling southeast, Viserion and eastern zones to expand the Mt Stirling gold system that sits 40 kilometres northwest of Leonora in the eastern goldfields.

Other revealing results at Mt Stirling and Viserion include 1m at 3.97 g/t gold from 58m and 6m at 1.11 g/t gold from 47m.

Torian has re-interpreted the eastern mineralised zones and noticed a resemblance to its prospective Stirling Well style of mineralisation that has recently produced some exciting numbers including a one metre hit at 16.81 g/t gold from 127m. The Eastern flat lodes have also been interpreted to merge with the company’s Tyrannus prospect that recently returned a 1m hit at a rousing 8.09 g/t gold from a shallow 1m depth.

The picture Torian’s geological team have been putting together is of a series of interconnected prospects across the broader Mt Stirling project with the system likely amendable to a large, low strip open pit mine.

The recent drill results have expanded the extent of the gold resource mineralisation boundaries at the various prospects within the Mt Stirling gold project.

The company is eagerly awaiting the recommencement of reverse circulation drilling in coming weeks with a plan to focus on follow up anomalous arsenic zones and recent interesting gold grades at the Hydra and Tyrranus prospects. Interestingly Torian was recently the recipient of company record assay turnaround times of less than a month. Investors will be hoping for more of the same.

Torian’s auger vacuum drilling is ongoing with other field work in an orchestrated approach to sniff out any further potential targets at the Mt Stirling project.

The company’s Executive Director, Peretz Schapiro said: “For a while we have been hypothesising that the Stirling Well and Mt Stirling gold systems may be linked. The latest round of drilling has given us a greater picture as to what we may be actually sitting on in the Mt Stirling region”.

A global resource estimate is expected near the end of 2021 for the entire Mt Stirling project, subject to continued success of drilling, rig availability and assay turnaround from the lab.

Torian has built an enviable portfolio of prospects that appears to be linking into one giant system a meagre eight kilometres from the enormous King of the Hills mine. It would now seem to be in a prime position to add its Mt Stirling gold project to the long list of lucrative Leonora successes.
