Terrain identifies high-priority EM conductors at Fraser Range

In a recent review of the available geophysical and structural data relating to its Gimlet project located in the blue chip Fraser Range nickel precinct, Perth-based Terrain Minerals has identified six high-priority EM conductor targets.

The targets were derived from a review of transient electromagnetic (TEM) and aeromagnetic data combined with a new structural interpretation of the tenement.

Further work programs to be undertaken include a review of historical geochemical data and generation of a series of staged geochemical soil survey programs to further evaluate the potential.

 The company recently discovered historic reports showing that mining heavyweights BHP, Anglo Gold and Teck Cominco all previously explored the Gimlet project area in search of Broken Hill style base metals and structurally controlled gold.

 In other company news, drilling at Terrain’s Great Western gold project has confirmed a continuity of mineralisation between existing proposed ore blocks with the best results showing 8m @ 2.35 g/t gold and 4m @ 2.7 g/t gold including 1m @ 6.72 g/t gold
