Avenira has appointed Dr Geoffrey Xue as non-executive director. Dr Xue has more than 10 years of experience in mining and investment banking in Australia, and has had significant experience in gold project development from exploration through resource definition and feasibility study to commercial production.
K2fly has made some changes to its executive structure following the decision by Brian Miller to reduce his hours of employment from September. As a result, from 1 September, Mr Miller will step down as chief executive and become executive director where he will focus on capital markets (investors), new acquisitions and its consulting business. He remains a major shareholder of the company. Nic Pollock, current chief commercial officer, will take over as chief executive.
Perenti Global has appointed Timothy Longstaff as non-executive director from 16 August. Mr Longstaff has a 25-year career in investment banking, with many years as a managing director and in senior executive roles at top-tier global firms. He has advised the boards and chief executives of Australian and international companies on numerous transformational transactions.
Boaz Wachtel has temporarily stepped down from his role as executive chair of Roots Sustainable Agricultural Technologies, but will continue as chief executive and director. Current non-executive director Adam Blumenthal will assume the role of non-executive chair until the shareholders of the company approve Mr Wachtel’s dual roles as executive chair and chief executive at its upcoming annual general meeting.
Luca Giacovazzi has resigned as non-executive director of Vimy Resources.
