Sasha Pendal is a senior corporate executive with over 20 years of experience in management, strategic planning, policy advice, community relations, operations, and governance.
Ms Pendal has been the group general manager of Fortescue Metals Group since July 2022. Prior to that, she spent 3 years as chief executive of Early Start Australia, a national organisation committed to delivering evidence-based early intervention and therapy services to children and families. Ms Pendal had also held general manager positions at Synergy; HBF Health Fund; spent over 9 years at Woodside Energy where she had operations, strategy, corporate development and stakeholder relationship accountabilities; and as director of development at the Lions Eye Institute.
Ms Pendal has also been involved with several not-for-profit organisations including as chair of LifelineWA. She was also a member of the Curtin University School of Management Advisory Board, trustee of CEDA WA, director of Netball WA’s Glass Jar Australia, and a board member of Fremantle Dockers since September 2023.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from The University of Western Australia, an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
