Rick Crabb practiced as a solicitor from 1980 to 2004 and was a founder of boutique law firm Blakiston & Crabb in 1992. He left the partnership before it was merged into national player Gilbert+Tobin.
As a lawyer, Mr Crabb specialised in mining, corporate and commercial law. He has provided legal counsel in relation to finance, marketing, government agreements and construction contracts for numerous resource development projects throughout Australia and Africa.
Mr Crabb now focuses on his public company directorships and investments.
In December 2021, Mr Crabb was awarded the WA Gold Medal Award by the Australian Institute of Company Directors for his contribution to business.
