Richard Mehan

Richard Mehan was managing director of Grange Resources. Prior to that, he was managing director of Jupiter Mines and non-executive director at Ausquest. Mr Mehan joined Portman in 1998 as general manager iron ore, and subsequently held the positions of general manager marketing, chief operating officer and managing director. In 2005, Cliffs Natural Resources took control of Portman and Mr Mehan was appointed president and chief executive of Asia Pacific of Cliffs in 2007. He also spent 15 years with Rio Tinto Iron Ore in a range of commercial roles including sales and marketing, business analysis and development and bulk shipping. Mr Mehan is president of not-for-profit Industrial Federation for Accident Prevention.
