Venus Metals' hunt for lithium at its Penny East project in Western Australia's Mid West region – within ground initially secured for gold and base metals prospectivity – has revealed encouraging soil geochemical results. The company says it identified an anomalous area measuring about 800m by 600m, while a second 800m-wide anomaly is open to the north. Further soil sampling and shallow drilling is planned.

Venus Metals is on a roll with the first drill campaign at its Deep South prospect within its Youanmi project in WA's Murchison hitting lithium paydirt. High-grade lithium pegmatites were intersected at both the East and North zones, with strong tantalum enrichment also recorded. The best grade recorded in the maiden campaign came in at a significant 2.89 per cent lithium oxide.

Venus Metals has kicked off its maiden reverse-circulation drill campaign at its Youanmi lithium project where lithium-bearing pegmatites were recently discovered at its highly-compelling Deep South lithium prospect. The Deep South lithium prospect sits 44km south of the Youanmi Gold Mine, which is about 450km north-east of Perth in Western Australia's rugged Murchison region.

Venus Metals Corporation says it has discovered petalite mineralisation assaying up to 4.6 per cent lithium oxide in multiple pegmatites at its Deep South prospect at Youanmi in Western Australia's Murchison region. Petalite is an important ore mineral of lithium and the new pegmatite discoveries comprise several small outcrops up to about 60m across that are scattered through a 450-square-metre footprint.

A geochemical sampling program by Venus Metals at the westernmost licences within its Mangaroon North project in Western Australia's emerging Gascoyne region has turned up two base metal anomalies that have been earmarked for further assessment. The company says it took about 1100 soil samples and 39 rock‐chip samples from across two of its tenements during the survey.

Multiple outcropping lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) pegmatites carrying high lithium oxide grades of up to 4.6 per cent have been revealed in follow-up mapping and sampling by Venus Metals at its Deep South prospect within its Youanmi lithium project in Western Australia. The company says broad surrounding caesium-tin anomalism is indicative of an extensive and mostly-hidden granitic and pegmatitic late-phase intrusive system.

Venus Metals has uncovered two neighbouring pegmatite outcrops, with visible coarse lithium-bearing petalite running up to 4.6 per cent lithium oxide, after completing a field program at its Youanmi project in Western Australia. The program was aimed at discovering the cause of a prominent lithium soil anomaly labelled the “Deep South Target”. Results also revealed a separate assay of 3.26 per cent lithium oxide.

Venus Metals and IGO have inked a binding agreement for exploration – and possibly development and extraction – at the pair's Henderson nickel-lithium project in WA's Eastern Goldfields. The deal involves a farm-in and joint venture in which a subsidiary of IGO can progressively acquire up to a 70 per cent interest in the project by spending $4 million on exploration and reimbursing Venus with $1 million.

After spending $2.07 million at 23c per share, IGO will secure a 5.6 per cent stake in Venus, making it a substantial shareholder. The project takes in Venus' Greenbushes East lithium project and its Bridgetown East copper-nickel-PGE project.

Venus Metals has encountered platinum group element, copper and nickel mineralisation at its Youanmi project in WA after probing a promising electromagnetic conductor. A seven hole, 734 metre drilling program has extended the mineralisation at the project with a 7m intersection going 0.85 g/t platinum, palladium plus gold from 124m. The 7m hit also included a high-grade interval of 2m at 1.44 g/t platinum, palladium plus gold.

Venus Metals and Rox Resources say they have identified what looks to be a new gold lode parallel to the old Youanmi mine at their joint ventured Youanmi gold project in WA. The JV partners' continuing drilling campaign at Youanmi recently returned a pulse quickening 4-metre intersection going an impressive 45.5 g/t gold from 341m including 1.33m grading an even more impressive 129.3 g/t gold from 341.75m.

These zones have a higher electrical conductivity than the surrounding rocks, which may indicate that sulphide minerals are present at depth.

Venus Metals and Rox Resources have hit high grade gold in aircore drilling at their Venus JV project near Youanmi in WA. The drilling is located north of the old Penny West gold mine and Spectrum Metals' recent much-heralded Penny North discovery. Best numbers came in at 4 meters grading just over 7 grams per tonne from 24m depth and 5m grading nearly 2.5 grams per tonne from 60m downhole.

Venus Metals has completed a high-powered, electromagnetic geophysical survey at its Vidure copper-nickel prospect that has thrown up at least four shiny new massive sulphide targets. The Vidure copper-nickel prospect is located near the Youanmi region of WA with Venus set to drill test its new targets in the area shortly. Two of the new targets have conductivities that are directly comparable to the existing Vidure discovery EM results.

Venus Metals has commenced a high-powered, EM geophysical survey at its Vidure copper-nickel prospect, located near the ever-popular Youanmi region in WA, where historical drilling by WMC and BHP outlined anomalous base metal and silver mineralisation. The survey will penetrate up to 500m, where the company previously interpreted poorly constrained, down-dip and down-plunge extensions to the defined mineralisation.

Venus Metals and Rox Resources have revealed some anomalous gold, copper, zinc and lead assays from their initial aircore drilling program that is located adjacent to high-grade gold occurrences at Currans Find North and Spectrum Metals' recent revered gold find near Youanmi in WA. The shallow drilling identified several intersections worthy of follow up, with gold peaking at 0.73g/t, copper at 0.23%, zinc at 0.29% and lead at 0.15%.

Venus Metals has granted a $50,000 option to Ascan Capital for the possible purchase of one of its Nardoo Hill lithium project tenements in WA's Gascoyne region. If the 90-day option is exercised, a $350,000 purchase price will be payable via a future share issue and mining royalty to Venus. The company, along with JV partner Rox Resources, continues to focus on high-grade gold discoveries near Youanmi in the State's Murchison district.

Venus Metals and Rox Resources have revealed that 1m interval drilling assays from their Currans Find North gold discovery near Youanmi, WA, have provided significant upgrades to the initial 4m composite samples tabled earlier this month. New high-grade results included 3m @ 32.58g/t gold from 115m and 4m @ 9.25g/t gold from 46m down-hole, which contained a 2-metre section at 16.05g/t gold from 48m.

Venus Metals has this week pocketed $2.55m and a swag of shares in fellow ASX-listed company Rox Resources after the companies established a 50/50 joint venture agreement for the prospective Youanmi gold mine leases in WA. Several other JV agreements have now also commenced, which focus more on near-mine and regional exploration activities in the underexplored Youanmi greenstone belt.
