Lequan Li

Mr Li is Senior Executive Vice President of State Grid International Development Corporation Limited (SGID). He also serves as a Non-executive Director of Redes Energeticas Nacionais (REN), SGPS, S.A. in Portugal Since 2018, a member of Corporate Governance Committee of REN Board, and a member of Nominations and Appraisals committee of REN board. He was previously a Director of ElectraNet Pty Ltd. He began his career with the China Electricity Council in 1988 accumulating rich expertise in the atmospheric environmental impacts of thermal power plants and technical means to control atmospheric pollution in thermal power plants. He then held senior roles at China Electric Power Technology Import and Export Corporation including as Project Manager, Head of Second Business Department, and Chief Economist. Since 2009, he has worked at SGID and has seen the mergers and acquisitions of overseas power transmission and distribution assets. From July 2015 to December 2019, his responsibilities were to include the management of the company's legal affairs, as General Counsel of SGID. He has expertise and experience in asset valuation, due diligence, risk management and control and negotiation of transaction documents of overseas assets mergers and acquisitions.
