John Davidson has owned and operated private companies since 1982 when he established a Perth-based electrical engineering company, which he took through a rapid development program and became the sole WA agent for a number of high tech products such as Electrostatic Powder Coating Equipment, Robotics and Computer Ducting Systems. Mr Davidson was previously Charge de Mission with the Chambre Regionale de Commerce et d’Industrie in Marseille, France. He later became the French Representative for the Western Australian Agent General’s office in London. In 1994, Mr Davidson purchased the exclusive operating rights in France for a multi-site business model and effectively built and opened 104 Franchised business units, which he subsequently sold. He has been directly involved in, and led inbound capital raising with, European venture capitalists for private placements and has secured underwriting agreements for several capital raisings.
