Infinity gets State funding to drill Pilbara pegmatites

The State Government has thrown its financial grunt in behind Infinity Mining's diamond drilling program at the company's Tambourah South lithium project, with a $149,675 Exploration Incentive Scheme grant. Infinity will fund the balance of the $299,350 program, which will see the drilling of two NQ-diameter diamond holes to depths of up to 300m to evaluate the geology under the project's pegmatite swarm.

Infinity hits high-grade lithium in Pilbara pegmatites

Infinity Mining's recent drilling in a big swarm of stacked Pilbara pegmatites has yielded assays of up to 2.1 per cent lithium oxide and supportive rubidium, caesium and tantalum values, with more work to come. The company says its campaign of eight reverse-circulation drillholes for 834m at its Tambourah South project in Western Australia produced several outstanding shallow lithium-caesium-tantalum intercepts.

Infinity Mining looks for Pilbara nickel dance partner

Infinity Mining will ramp up its search for a joint venture partner at its Hillside project, 50km south of Marble Bar in Western Australia, after unveiling new nickel assays with headline hits of 135m at 2189ppm from 64m and 95m at 2197ppm from 254m. Other significant results include 107m at 1727ppm from 235m, 52m at 1761ppm from surface and 16m at 2150ppm from 123m.

Infinity Mining broadens lithium footprint in Pilbara

Infinity Mining has enlarged its lithium footprint at three Tambourah South prospects in Western Australia's East Pilbara region after discovering more pegmatites through field mapping and confirming lithium prolificacy through rock-chip and drill-sampling assays. Rock chips recorded a best value of 3.7 per cent lithium oxide and eight RC holes cut 23 pegmatites with a maximum thickness of 25m.

Infinity Mining adds anomalous rare earths at Victor Bore

Infinity Mining has highlighted rare earths at its Victor Bore project, with two samples from a recent reverse-circulation campaign returning results of more than 1000 parts per million TREO. Of 24 samples from a drill campaign in WA's Central Goldfields, one returned a 1m hit at 1018ppm TREO from 20m, while a second recorded another 1m intercept at a solid 1582ppm TREO from 53m.

Infinity Mining lands three tenements near key Pilbara site

Infinity Mining has expanded its foothold in WA's East Pilbara by nearly 100 square kilometres after acquiring three new tenements to bring its total holding in the region to more than 780sq km. The sites were bought from TasEx Geological Services and include ground considered prospective for volcanic-hosted massive sulphides and shear-hosted gold deposits right next door to Infinity's Tambourah South lithium project.

Infinity Mining says it has uncovered a “lithium-rich system” during a maiden scout drilling program at its Tambourah South project in the Pilbara, with more than 50 samples returning results above 0.2 per cent lithium oxide. Highlights include a 4m hit at 0.573 per cent lithium oxide from 32m, while the widest section showed a 9m intercept going 0.332 per cent lithium oxide from surface.

Infinity scores solid gold hits in Central Goldfields

Infinity Mining plans to dig deeper for gold at its Victor Bore project in the Central Goldfields after new drill results highlighted an 8m hit at 3.46 grams per tonne gold from 56m, including 1m going a solid 21.86g/t gold from 57m. A total of 13 of the 16 holes drilled at Victor Bore returned anomalous results of more than 1g/t gold.

Infinity locks in Strelley Gorge licence for five more years

Infinity Mining has secured a five-year licence extension for its Strelley Gorge project in the Pilbara that is considered prospective for volcanic-hosted massive sulphide-style copper-zinc mineralisation. Just last year the company completed a helicopter electromagnetic survey across the site with initial data showing several conductive targets. Follow-up testing is planned for later this year.

Early gold drill hits at Leonora for Infinity Mining

Infinity Mining has landed strong gold results over a 200m strike from the first five RC drill holes in its latest campaign. Assays from the first five RC drill holes at the company's Victor Bore project include 7m at 1.96 g/t gold from 32m, 6m going 1.4 g/t gold from 25m with best individual 1m intersections of 8.67 g/t from 34m and 7.33g/t gold from 29m. Infinity wrapped up 37 RC drill holes at five historical gold mine prospects on its ground near Leonora in the Central Goldfields of WA.

Infinity sampling scores multiple elements at key Pilbara operation

Infinity Mining has identified a host of valuable minerals from reconnaissance rock chip sampling at its Hillside project in the Pilbara including anomalous results for copper, molybdenum, gold and silver. Samples returned values of up to 4539 parts-per-million copper, 1198ppm molybdenum, 0.68 grams per tonne gold and 14 g/t silver. The exploration program also identified a partially covered copper-stained quartz vein in granite on the western side of the operation over around 170m.

In total 41 individual pegmatite intervals were logged varying from 1m to 35m in width. Most contained the visual lithium minerals lepidolite and spodumene.
