Ian Satchwell has more than three decades of experience in economics and industry policy at domestic and international levels.
He has been involved in policy formulation by industry and government on international trade and investment, environmental policy and regulation, competition policy and microeconomic reform, and climate change policy.
Mr Satchwell has held roles across Australia and internationally.
In 2015, Mr Satchwell was appointed as an adjunct professor at The University of Queensland's Sustainable Minerals Institute.
He earned a Bachelor of Business in accounting and commercial law from CQUniversity in 1977 and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
