Christopher Wallin is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, Fellow of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and Member of the Geological Society of Australia. Mr Wallin has over 40 years' experience in the Queensland exploration and mining industry. He is the sole director and owner of the QCoal Group which has managed the development and operation of numerous open-cut mines in Queensland, and is currently overseeing the development of the Byerwen Coal Project. In 2014, QCoal's ongoing commitment to the industry was celebrated when the company was awarded the Queensland Miner of the Year Award. In addition to exploration and mining, QCoal is a principal sponsor of the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Queensland. Mr Wallin is the sole director of QGold, a major shareholder in Strategic Minerals Corporation NL.
