Christopher (Chris) Ellison is the managing director of Mineral Resources and the founding shareholder of each of the three original subsidiary companies that comprise MinResources (Crushing Services International, PIHA and Process Minerals International).
Prior to founding PIHA in 1992, Mr Ellison was managing director of Monadelphous Group, which he led out of receivership between 1988 and 1989. He joined Monadelphous when his company Genco (which he founded in 1986) merged with the group.
Mr Ellison founded Karratha Rigging in 1979 and was made general manager for WA and NT of Walter Wright Industries when it took it over in 1982.
In 2013 Mr Ellison became the honorary consul for New Zealand.
