Multi-mineral exploration company, Oar Resources is about to hit the go button on a maiden diamond drilling campaign at the high-grade Douglas Canyon gold project in the US. The company is planning a four-hole, 1000 metre campaign in Nevada aimed at targeting near-surface mineralisation and testing down dip depth extensions where historical grades have tipped the scales as high as 18 grams per tonne gold and 398 g/t silver.

Things are starting to get interesting for junior exploration company, Oar Resources. The company has identified the presence of ultramafic rocks at its polymetallic Crown PGE and gold project containing copper sulphides just 8km west of Chalice Mining's celebrated Julimar discovery in WA. Assay results from 74 rock chip samples collected at the greenfields project are due soon.

First-pass drilling at Oar Resources' Gibraltar project in SA has delivered a potential treasure trove of mineralisation, with sampling revealing intercepts of both high-value halloysite and kaolinite. Some stand-out results for the flourishing project area include 3 metres at 19.6 per cent halloysite with 42.4 per cent kaolinite from 26m and an equally impressive 13m at 5.3 per cent halloysite with 80.9 per cent kaolinite.
