Andrew Roberts commenced working in Multiplex family business, founded by his father John Roberts, after graduating from university. He worked in a number of roles, in various regions, over two decades with Multiplex - initially as a Project Manager, then Business Development Manager, General Manager and State Director, Deputy Managing Director, and finally as CEO for a number of years until February 2007 when the Multiplex Group became subject to a takeover by the multinational property and infrastructure group, Brookfield Asset Management, Inc.
Aside from Mr Roberts' executive roles at Multiplex, he has served on a number of charitable and government boards. Prior roles include directorships of The Australian Museum, Children’s Cancer Institute, the University of WA and University of NSW business schools.
Mr Roberts currently manages his family investment office RF Capital. The family holds and is actively seeking investments in commercial property, listed equities, private equity, and resources.
In 2017, he launched a joint venture, Roberts Pizzarotti, with Italian family-owned construction group Impresa Pizzarotti. The privately-funded 50:50 joint venture focused on commercial construction contracts from airports to health, leisure, tourism and hotel projects as well as multi-density high-rise residential developments in Sydney. In 2021, Mr Roberts took full ownership of the business and rebranded it Roberts Co.
