Studio Schools Australia (formerly Yiramalay/Wesley Studio School) is an indigenous boarding school for students in Years 10-12.
In November 2004, a unique and special partnership between the Aboriginal people of the Fitzroy Valley Community in the Kimberley, Western Australia, and the community of Wesley College Melbourne, was established to bring about positive change through education.
The Studio School began operation on 15 August 2010 with an Induction Program for students in Year 10, and it was officially opened on 20 May 2011 with the launch of the new Senior Years Learning Framework.
From July 2022, Yiramalay/Wesley Studio School transitioned to Studio Schools of Australia (SSA) where it will form the basis of an extended studio schools’ program across the north of Australia.
