Schlam is a mining services business that was founded by Ryan Schlam around 2007 which grew to provides asset management and maintenance services in the fixed and mobile plant space.
In July 2020, Schlam Group amalgamated its three distinct but related divisions (Schlam Engineering, DT HiLoad and The Pilbara Clean Machines) and rebranded as Schlam to better reflect its status as a globally relevant company wholly-focused on making mining equipment more productive.
In 2022, Schlam won Employer of the Year at Business News’ RISE Business Awards.
In late 2025, Italian earthmoving business USCO ITR Group acquired Schlam Payload, and the Schlam brand, in a deal that bought out Mr Schlam but retained other existing management as equity holders. Mr Schlam separately sold Cru Services (formerly Schlam Engineering which traded as Schlam Cru) and The Pilbara Clean Machines operations to Queensland-based FMS Group.
