Oryx Communities advises on development and infrastructure projects, including a pipeline of integrated aged care, childcare and retirement accommodation in premium locations in Western Australia.
It was established by Nita Peploe and Toby Browne-Cooper, former directors of Continuing Health Care, an aged care and retirement accommodation provider.
In 2018, Oryx completed the conversion of a former boutique hotel into The Richardson aged care residence in West Perth. This is a luxury aged care residence offering residential, dementia and palliative care. The Richardson provides spacious suites, warm household living spaces and personalised care.
Oryx opened The Melvista aged care residence in Nedlands in 2025 and features private suites, shared household spaces and wellness amenities.
The organisation also owns The Queenslea in Claremont, which was completed in 2021. This residence provides personalised 24/7 care in small household communities with private rooms, private suites and wellness facilities. Oryx Queenslea Retirement Apartments offers 37 luxury retirement apartments in Claremont.
