National Hire, through its equity holding in Coates Group Holdings, was a major participant in the equipment hire industry in Australia. It was also a manufacturer and distributor of mobile lighting towers and de-watering equipment, and a distributor of power generation and air compressors under the AllightSykes name.
The company was acquired by Seven Group Holdings in 2011.
