Kakulas Brothers is a fresh-food market and deli established in Northbridge in 1929. The Kakulas family came to WA from the Greek island of Kastellorizo, with Bartholomaeus arriving first, about 1912, and followed by his younger brother Evangelos and wife Rose and young family, Stavros, Michael and George. All three brothers have died.Their children Evan (son of Stavros) and his cousin George Jr (son of George) took over the store jointly in 1990.
George’s daughter Eleni opened Kakulas Sister in Fremantle in 1994 and another store in Nollamara 10 years later.
