Global Strategic Metals was engaged in the mining and exploration of mineral properties in Western Australia. It was primarily exploring for silver, precious, and base metal deposits.
It held interests in the Elizabeth Hill project located to the south of Karratha; the Gossan Dam base metal and silver prospect located towards east of Perth; and the Kurabuka Creek project located in the Gascoyne mineral field.
The company changed its name from East Coast Minerals in June 2012, delisted from the ASX in August 2014, and changed its name again to Karratha Metals Group in November 2017.
