Excelsior Gold Limited, together with its subsidiaries, engaged in the exploration and development of gold properties in Western Australia. It principally holds interests in the Kalgoorlie North Gold project covering approximately 98 square kilometers of granted mining and prospecting leases located in Western Australia.
The company was formerly known as Atom Energy Limited and changed its name to Excelsior Gold Limited in June 2010.
In 2018, the company was acquired by Spitfire Materials.
