Perth-based copper explorer Emu has announced another key change at the top, with Adrian Griffin ceasing his consulting services arrangement with the company.

Renowned Western Australian mining veteran Terry Streeter, who started investing in resources stocks more than 40 years ago using funds from his grocery business, has passed away aged 80.

Emu NL has tabled anomalous rare earths results in 33 of 34 air-core holes sunk at the company's Condingup project near Esperance, with assays as high as 2513 parts per million total rare earth oxides (TREO).

Emu NL has enlarged its mineralised footprint in the heart of Esperance's rare earths region after rock chips returned results of up to 1242 parts per million total rare earth oxides (TREO) from its latest reconnaissance survey. Management says fieldwork from outcropping Booanya suite granites has revealed high-value magnet rare earth oxides averaging about 22 per cent of TREO grade from 28 rock-chip samples.

EMU NL has confirmed the presence of both magnetic and heavy rare earths at its Condingup project near Esperance after rock samples returned results of up to 2124 parts-per-million total rare earth oxides. Shares in ASX-listed mineral explorer Emu surged 60 per cent during intraday trading after it lodged applications to extend its prospective Condingup project to an overall tenement area of 734 square kilometres. Mineral explorer EMU has secured the right to earn up to 80 per cent in a trio of exploration permits covering 850 square kilometres in Queensland's Georgetown mining district under a Heads of Agreement with TSXV-listed Rugby Resources. Surefire Resources' share price vaulted more than 50 per cent higher in opening trades on Monday following news the gold explorer had hit a bounty of broad gold intercepts in the Murchison Goldfields of WA. The company's maiden drilling program over the Yidby Road prospect returned mineralised intercepts up to 56 metres wide including a stunning 40m at 3.01 grams per tonne gold.
