Kingwest Resources' drilling campaign at Menzies in WA has continued to return a stream of spectacular drill intercepts including 1m at 107.00 g/t gold from 88m and an impressive 5m at 13.8 g/t gold that boasts a 2m long higher-grade section going an ounce to the tonne gold from 122m. Precious metals explorer Emu NL has commenced its exploratory field program at the Vidalita project in northern Chile with a comprehensive campaign of shallow aircore drilling planned for its Peon 4, Vidalota D and Jotahues areas. The campaign will also target higher grade gold mineralisation at its main Vidalita project, vectoring towards a prospective fault zone it has interpreted from existing drilling data.

A Chilean-based geological consultant has completed a review that supports Emu NL's interpretation that the Vidalita project in the highly endowed Maricunga Belt in Chile is a highly mineralised epithermal system with the potential to host a large gold-silver-base metal deposit. The review found that the high sulphidation mineralisation is likely to be largely intact due to limited erosion.

Terry Streeter-chaired Moho Resources is set to list on the ASX tomorrow, while the experienced mining executive has also been appointed to the board of Chile-focused explorer Emu.

ASX junior explorer Emu NL is planning to search for silver mineralisation at the Vidalita prospect in northern Chile after drilling indicated it is similar to other deposits in the Maricunga Belt that have large gold resources and significant silver credits. Emu NL has announced the discovery of a new gold target at its Jotahues project, within the strongly mineralised Maricunga precious metal belt in Chile. A recent soil geochemical sampling program at the Peon 4 prospect showed a 600m wide and 1.2km long anomalous zone of coincident gold, silver, copper, mercury and lead assays, which can be typical fingerprints for an epithermal gold system.
