Henderson-based Evolution Commercial was established in 2010 with the philosophy of managing, engineering and manufacturing custom solutions for marine, offshore and industrial customers. Its core business is manufacturing fast ferries, wind farm vessels, crew transfer vessels and most recently, contributing to the builds of superyachts. In 2014 it was contracted by related company Echo Yachts to build two superyachts. Evolution is able to build vessels using aluminium, steel and fibreglass composites, and with all hull types (monohull, catamaran and trimaran). Its founding directors are Mark Stothard and Jurien van Rongen, who together with their colleague Nick Gardiner are founding shareholders of Echo Yachts. In 2016, the two companies had a combined workforce of nearly 300.
