3CN Trust was established in October 2022 to fund the activities of Yindjibarndi Nation Ltd, a public company intended to be the main vehicle to manage and deliver programs for the community.

3CN Trust was funded through an agreement with Rio Tinto worth ~$10 million a year over 10 years.

The name of the trust is a reference to Yindjibarndi Nation's 3C approach: culture, community, commercial.
