Mitch began working as a biologist immediately fresh from high school. With no formal qualifications, he realised his progress would be limited, so he commenced a tertiary degree at UWA while continuing to work. He achieved remarkable academic success and simultaneously progressed as a consultant. Since 2003, Mitch has been responsible for developing two biological science groups for two well established environmental firms. At 34, Mitch manages Biological Science at ENV Australia and is the Managing Director of Validus Group. The companies employ 22 full-time staff and 14 sub-contractors. Turnover has exceeded $1.3m for almost every year of operation.
