
LDC Grains Australia is a subsidiary of Louis Dreyfus Company. LDC purchased Emerald Grain in 2022. LDC has a network of grain merchants in all the major grain growing regions of Australia.
Emerald Grain was one of the largest grain marketing and supply chain businesses in Australia. The company had a network of up-country storage and handling facilities in Victoria and New South Wales with an overall capacity of 1.5 million tonnes. Emerald also owned the Melbourne Port Terminal and exports grain from around 17 grain terminals across Australia to 35 countries across the globe. Sumitomo acquired Emerald Grain in 2014, and later sold the business to Roc Partners in 2020.
