Threat Protect buys into electronic monitoring
MANY tertiary students work part-time to help pay for their education, but relatively few end up making a career of their ‘part-time’ pursuits.
Based in Perth, Intelligent Monitoring Group (formerly Threat Protect Australia) is a company formed by the consolidation of several successful local security companies including VIP Electronic Security, Checkpoint Security Products and Alarm and Video Monitoring Centre.
The company focuses on its core business of identifying client risks and providing solutions to ensure that security becomes part of the client's overall strategy without impinging on their lifestyle or business performance.
Threat Protect listed on the ASX in September 2015 through a reverse takeover of East Africa Resources. It changed its name to Intelligent Monitoring Group on 17 December 2021.

East Africa Resources has become the 36th Perth-based company to announce a backdoor listing deal in the past 18 months, with plans to exit uranium exploration and acquire local security services business Threat Protect Australia.
