New hub to help farmers respond to drought
Grower Group Alliance will lead a drought resilience adoption and innovation hub in Merredin to help farmers and communities prepare for drought.
The Grower Group Alliance was established in 2002 to develop stronger connections between Western Australian grower groups, researchers, funding bodies and industry.
It is now a thriving statewide network of over 60 local grower groups with a collective membership exceeding 4000 farm enterprises.
GGA was funded by the Grains Research & Development Corporation and hosted by the University of Western Australia from 2002-2013, and subsequently funded by the WA Department of Primary Industries & Regional Development and hosted by the Grain Industry Association of Western Australia from 2014-2019.
In 2018, GGA became an incorporated not-for-profit association.
