Linda Aitken is Mayor of the City of Wanneroo, one of Western Australia’s largest and fastest-growing local governments. A resident for nearly 46 years and councillor since 2013, she was elected Mayor in 2022. Her leadership is centred on strategic infrastructure investment and sustainable development to support the City’s rapid growth, projected to exceed 430,000 residents by 2046.
Developing the City as a great place to live and work, Mayor Aitken sees sound management of the City’s growth, including the provision of local employment, improved transport links and the development of the Neerabup Industrial Area as key priorities.
With a background in small business and healthcare, including humanitarian work overseas, Mayor Aitken brings a strong community focus and a clear vision for creating a business-friendly environment that supports investment and long-term economic resilience.
