Perth investor Anthony Wooles has been appointed non-executive chairman of High Peak Royalties, after a complex restructure that involved a change of name from Torrens Energy and a reverse takeover by unlisted company Phoenix Oil & Gas.
Former Phoenix chairman Geoffrey King, one of four former Phoenix directors on the High Peak board, has been appointed deputy chairman.
In addition, former Phoenix chief executive Steven Larkins has taken that role with High Peak.
The restructure sees High Peak specialise in investments in oil & gas royalties, similar to ASX-listed Fitzroy River, which counts Perth investor Susan Thomas as a director.
Apart from Mr Wooles, the only former Torrens director on the High Peak board is Howard McLaughlin, whose past roles include being managing director of Antares Energy.
