Long-serving Wesfarmers non-executive director David White has announced his resignation from the company's board.
Mr White has been on Wesfarmers board for 20 years and currently serves as Chairman of Wesfarmers' Audit committee and as a member of the Nomination committee.
Wesfarmers chairman Bob Every said Mr White had been an outstanding contributor to the board for many years and his common sense, pragmatism, experience and humour will be greatly missed.
"David's contribution to the company over two decades has been significant and I sincerely thank him for his tremendous service," Dr Every said.
"He has seen Wesfarmers grow from a relatively small company with its operations very much West Australian-based, to be one of the nation's biggest companies with 200,000 employees across Australia and New Zealand. It's been a time of remarkable change."
Mr White said it had been an honour to serve on the board.
"I wish the board and management all the very best in their future endeavours," he said.
Mr White will step down at the end of Wesfarmers annual general meeting on November 9.
