The wireless load controlling technology, developed by Perth-based Roborigger Pty Ltd, won three awards at the WA Innovator of the Year last year with sponsors including Rio Tinto and South32.
With Roborigger units available commercially Australia-wide and being used in the commercial construction industry, founder Derick Markwell said the company is now working to gain more traction in the mining and resources industries.

The company is now in discussions to send Roborigger units to a Newmont mine site in the Northern Territory as well as to sites in the goldfields.

The built-in software collects data from every lift including time, weight, location, and image of the load being lifted.
“This means the loads can be tracked real-time and the efficiency of operations can be analysed and improved.”
