Vonex rings up more cloud PABX users

Australian telco Vonex continues to build momentum for its core PABX telephony business with more than 29,000 registered users now on its books, a 24% increase over the last 12 months.

This consistent growth is due to its Australian marketing campaign and increased engagement and recruitment of channel partners.

PABX registrations are a key indicator of the company’s business development progress as it penetrates the multi-billion Australian market for telco services to small and medium enterprises.

This growth has also translated into new customer orders with the ASX-listed company now on track to deliver 25% year-on-year growth in the June 2019 quarter, up from the 20% growth rate achieved in the March 2019 quarter.

Further growth is anticipated as the company steps up its targeted marketing campaign in line with the ongoing NBN rollout in Australian capital cities.

Vonex said that it has recruited an additional 72 channel partners in the current financial year and continues to sign up new partners through inbound enquiries and targeted marketing to the IT and communications managed services provider community.

The company added that channel partners play a key role in selling its proprietary technologies, including its cloud-based PABX and Vonex-branded traditional mobile, internet and business phone plans.

With the continued growth in its core PABX customer numbers and new customer orders, Vonex looks like it is on track to grab a larger slice of the Australian telecommunications industry pie.
