Ventia, a subsidiary of construction giant CIMIC Group, has won contracts for works at Great Eastern Highway between Walgoolan and Bodalin.

Ventia, a subsidiary of construction giant CIMIC Group, has won contracts for works at Great Eastern Highway between Walgoolan and Bodalin.
Ventia will conduct improvement construction on an 8.3-kilometre cross-section of the highway, including culvert, drainage, driveway and intersection works.
Additionally, the company will complete works on a 2.5km cross-section of the highway which will establish a westbound overtaking lane and associated infrastructure.
The $7.8 million contract was awarded by Main Roads Western Australia.
It will start in mid-October and run until March 2021.
Ventia, which is based in NSW, beat three other submissions to secure the contract.
The Great Eastern Highway links Perth to Kalgoorlie.
